Dr. Ty grew up in Beal City, Michigan. He attended Central Michigan University, where he was an outfielder for their baseball team, the Chippewa’s. He graduated in 2019 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and Scholar-Athlete honors. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the #1 ranked dental school, University of Michigan, in 2023.

Since he was a child he knew he wanted a career that would enable him to help people on a daily basis. With his mother being a Speech-Language Pathologist and his father a Physical Therapist, he grew up with daily stories about the people they were able to help. This sparked his true passion and joy, to help others. He became interested in dentistry his junior year of high school and never looked back. He is extremely happy to be able to build his own stories and meaningful relationships while giving exceptional and compassionate care to all his patients.

Dr. Ty spends most of his time with friends watching sports, playing sports, cooking or traveling. His favorite sports to play for fun are golf, disc golf, bowling, and cornhole and even competing in cornhole tournaments. He has a love for cooking, grilling, and smoking a variety of cuisine and enjoys trying new foods, recipes, and cooking techniques. He had the opportunity to explore southeastern Asia upon graduation and hopes to continue to travel to many other countries and across the United States.
